Case study · Wildhut
Wildhut
Wildhut wanted to reach people researching garden and outdoor saunas, including those who hadn't heard of the brand. The SEO work focused on relevant non-brand searches and the pages needed to answer them.
The brief
Wildhut sells high-end garden and outdoor saunas. The opportunity was to help more people discover the brand while comparing products and researching a purchase.
The work focused on searches such as “garden sauna” and “luxury outdoor sauna”, where someone has a product in mind but hasn't necessarily chosen a supplier.
What I did
I reviewed the site's technical setup and content to identify priorities for non-brand search visibility.
The keyword and content work reflected different stages of choosing a sauna: understanding the types available, comparing options and finding a product that suited the buyer's requirements.
Technical improvements and internal linking supported that work, helping connect the relevant information across the site.
The results
Over 13 months, non-brand organic traffic increased by 253% and total organic visitors rose by 85%. Non-brand searches grew from 64% to 77% of organic traffic.
The project recorded 61 non-brand keywords ranking from a starting point of no recorded rankings, with 20 in the UK top 10 and seven in the top three. Results included number-one positions for “best outdoor sauna UK” and “luxury garden sauna”.
After enquiry tracking was introduced, organic search generated up to 46 tracked enquiries in a month. That is a peak monthly figure, rather than a monthly average.
"We really appreciate all the work you have done for us and will continue to recommend you for your excellent SEO knowledge. Many thanks for all your hard work."

What this project illustrates
People researching a substantial purchase often need information before they're ready to contact a supplier. The work helped Wildhut answer more of those questions and become visible beyond searches for its own name.
Help more people find your products.
If your business depends heavily on searches for its brand name, we can look at the wider questions people ask before choosing a supplier.
